New Active Control Method Based on Using Multiactuators and Sensors Considering Uncertainty of Parameters
Babak Karimpour,Ali Keyhani,Javad Alamatian
Advances in Civil Engineering , 2014, DOI: 10.1155/2014/180673
Abstract: New approach is presented for controlling the structural vibrations. The proposed active control method is based on structural dynamics theories in which multiactuators and sensors are utilized. Each actuator force is modeled as an equivalent viscous damper so that several lower vibration modes are damped critically. This subject is achieved by simple mathematical formulation. The proposed method does not depend on the type of dynamic load and it could be applied to control structures with multidegrees of freedom. For numerical verification of proposed method, several criterions such as maximum displacement, maximum kinetic energy, maximum drift, and time history of controlled force and displacement are evaluated in two- , five- , and seven-story shear buildings, subjected to the harmonic load, impact force, and the Elcentro base excitation. This study shows that the proposed method has suitable efficiency for reducing structural vibrations. Moreover, the uncertainty effect of different parameters is investigated here. 1. Introduction Smart structures are systems that can teach and protect themselves against the external excitation such as wind and earthquake. Analyzing and designing of smart structures is based on set of sciences including materials science, applied mechanics, electronics, biomechanics, and structural dynamics. In this procedure, maintaining the structural performance against the external hazards is a very important issue called control system. Many studies have been performed in the field of structural control. These methods can be categorized into three groups, that is, passive, semiactive, and active procedures [1]. Due to the simplicity, low cost of assembly and no need to the external power, the passive control systems are numerous. However, the constant control feature makes these systems fail during the earthquakes. In other words, these systems are designed to work only for a certain excitation and limited frequency bound. The passive control system tries to remove the kinetic energy from the structure. Because of the mentioned constraints in passive algorithms, active control is highly regarded systems to cope with the earthquake. These techniques have suitable efficiency in different excitation, so that they could exactly sense and adopt the structural vibrations. To achieve this goal, each active control method is constructed based on algorithm, which verifies its efficiency and accuracy. The application of such systems began in 1989. In these systems an external power source is required so that this applied force affects

Open Journal of Marine Science (OJMS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojms.2016.63034
Abstract: Ships usually operate in the vibrant and dynamic environment; a majority of crews work and have a rest in a stressful space and have daily job displacements that working in it and moving from port disrupt as soon as reaching to port. Such conditions which require living at work place for a long time raises a unique job life which causes increase in risks of human mistakes. Huge marine accidents occur per year in country in which human element plays a major role. Identification and analysis of the components affect individuals as the staffs in ships, so that such component raises the conditions due to inattention which result in rise of severe and more severe marine accidents. Evaluation of each component has been taken into account in the present research. The present research seeks to examine and identity factors affecting human elements in marine accidents.

Open Journal of Marine Science (OJMS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojms.2016.64040
Abstract: Given the strategic importance of energy and air pollution in the today world and due to the fact that the maritime transport system is one of the main sources of energy consumption and emissions in the environment, particularly contamination of water, so in recent years, fuel consumption and emissions reduction in the maritime transport industry has received considerable attention. Thus, in this paper, a new method is provided for typical boat hybridization, so by adding an electric motor and battery to boat power transmission system, dynamic performance will improve fuel consumption and emissions reduces. For this purpose, power transmission system elements are modelled and boat function is evaluated in real terms of movement by defining energy management strategy between power sources. The simulation results show that boat hybridization considerably reduces fuel consumption and emissions.

Abstract: Today, corporate strategy entails a clearly defined, long-term idea that organizations set, looking for to create business value and stimulate the structures of corporations to implement the proper actions and to achieve customer satisfaction. In addition, corporate strategy is an incessant process that requires a continuous energy to involve investors in trusting the company with their money, thereby increasing the company’s equity. One of the main corporate strategies in the service and public organizations is corporate governance which is considered as the mechanisms, processes and relations by which corporations are controlled and directed. Governance principles and strategies identify the distribution of responsibilities among regulators, managers, board of directors, shareholders, creditors, auditors, and other stakeholders. It includes the rules and procedures for making decisions in corporate affairs. Corporate governance includes the processes through which corporations’ objectives are set and pursued in the context of the social, regulatory and market environment. Mechanisms of governance mostly involve canning and reviewing of decisions and policies of organizations, their partners, and affected customers and shareholders. This study has been done due to the lack of theoretical literature in this respect and the goal of this study is to design a model of corporate governance with open innovation approach in the insurance industry. The research method is qualitative and based on grounded theory. The sample consists of 8 faculty members and insurance industry experts who have been selected based on purposeful sampling procedure. This research, based on aim is an applied one and based on collecting data through interviews, it is considered as field research. According to research findings, open innovation at inbound, outbound and composition are defined as strategies that enhance corporate governance. Research findings recommended open innovation strategies of various ways to solve the problems of corporate governance should be used in the insurance industry.

Abstract: Minerals are deposited when evaporation is greater than atmospheric precipitation. Calcium sulfates are one of the most important evaporative minerals which have been expanding over the past few years. In the formation of these minerals, various sedimentary and diagenetic processes play a role from shallow ridges to deep water. The research investigated the types of evaporative minerals (with an emphasis on anhydrite) in Gachsaran Formation in Gotvand dam range (25 km north of Shoushtar city). Investigating the thin sections of evaporative samples of this formation led to the identification of various anhydrite textures. Also, the existence of the main phases of calcium sulfate and NaCl by XRD analyses on a number of samples. The formation of anhydrite, gypsum and halite minerals in Gachsaran Formation in Lagoon and Sabkha environments was identified texture. The most important textures were laths anhydrite, nodule, isolated, radial anhydrite crystals, and porphyroblastic gypsum crystals, most of which are formed at the same stage of precipitation or in the early stages of diagenesis.

International Journal of Pharmacology , 2005,
Abstract: Benzodiazepines (BZDs) are the most commonly prescribed hypnotic-anexiolytic-sedative drugs in the world. Their effectiveness and safe usage have made them extremely popular among patients. To date more than 30 different brands of BZDs have been introduced to drug market, which vary enormously in side effects, potency and indications. Thus, due to global consumption and diversity of BZDs, lack of a information indicating the BZDs` side effects sorted by induced signs and symptoms, this study would ease the consultation and follow-up of the patients who have undergone BZD treatment. The review first gives a brief introduction about side effects encountered by BZDs and then classifies the signs and symptoms based on the organ involved and mentions which BZDs are responsible for them. The organs and functions which are influenced are classified under: cardiovascular system, CNS, cognitive function, mood changes, endocrine/metabolic, gastrointestinal tract, blood and bone marrow, liver, eyes, respiratory system, skin, genitourinary tract, musculoskeletal system, ears and miscellaneous. Each of these items is also sub-grouped into several categories.
